Woodies is a family owned wood purveyor here in Wilmington, NC. We sell lumber, slabs, marine plywood, bowl and pen blanks in dozens of different species.
We sell exotic lumber and turning squares including, Sapele, Afrormosia, Wenge, Bubinga, Yellowheart, Redheart, Teak, Iroko, Pau Rosa, Pau Amarillo, Coco Bolo, Spalted Tamarind, Bocote, Zircote, Leopardwood, East Indian Rosewood, Chakte Viga, Roman Olivewood, Chakte Coc and many others.
Domestic species include Walnut, Red Oak, White Oak, Hickory, Ash, Gum, Hard Maple, Quilted Maple, Curly Maple, Spalted Maple, Birdseye Maple, Cypress, Cedar and others.
We also carry Marine Grade Okoume Plywood (Lloyds Certified / BS-1088) in 4mm (3/16), 6mm (¼”), 9mm (), 12mm (1/2″), 18mm (¾”), 25 mm (1″) Sheets.
We also carry the original Teak Decking from the Battleship USS North Carolina (BB-55) in full original planks and pen blanks.
Our hours of operation are 10 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday. 9:30 am through 12:30 pm on Saturdays.
